My friend DJ was shooting Kori Danielle today and I snuck over and snapped these with my little point and shoot camera..

She is such a lovely person.. Has a great laugh and a really inviting disposition.. She looks like one of those romance novel women.. Like the wind should be blowing wherever she is.. I almost expected her to have a horse nearby..

I am glad that I got the chance to meet her..  and make her laugh..

Chloe is just amazing.. 

If I was half as talented as she is at her age, I would have probably been completly full of myself.. but she isnt.. She is funny and smart and creative and not afraid to take a dare..

She is an amazing photographer and a self portrait model.. I decided to take her out of her comfort zone and hopefully provide an experience that would shed some light where she may not have looked before..

We spent the day shooting and talking shop and she tried really hard not to get grossed out by fish heads and chicken feet.. I hope the experience was worth the nausea for her..

I look forward to being a part of her creative journey.. And her mine..

The reason I am who I am..

My Grandmother was and IS always a driving force in my life.. She would tell me that I was ALWAYS enough, just being me.. I didn't need to prove anything to anyone else or live up to anyone else's idea of what or who I should be.. I just had to be happy with me and be accountable for my decisions.

Part of what many perceive as arrogance, is my Grandmother coming through in me.. Giving me the strength and resolve to be ME and stand firm in that.. No "best foot forward" nonsense but standing firm on both feet.

I am sure Lilian Mims is watching me, and proud of the legacy she has left behind..

CRIME SCENE: The End of Innocence

I absolutely LUV the times when I just get to play with fun people and experiment without restrictions.. It really is as much about the process as the outcome for me..

Michelle wanted to do an Alice in Wonderland theme and Kristen wanted to be the Last Pageant Queen. Something about that tire swing just screamed lost childhood to me..


I am always interested in how something so innocent can become so morbid.. Perspective paints the world from moment to moment..

CRIME SCENE: The Dead Girl... Lavidity

I saw that movie and was inspired to replicate the feel of it..

So I called up Jillian, who is an AMAZING SFX MUA, to come out and play in the middle of nowhere with BRE, who is game for anything and slightly demented.. :)

Thank you Ladies for being willing to put your talents and slightly demented minds together to make this easy for me and way too much fun to be legal in most states.

CHAIR SERIES: Time-Out

Whenever I think about a Time-Out Chair, I picture it being more than just putting some randomly comfy chair in the corner and expecting someone to sit there unrestrained while they are in the middle of a tantrum.

But maybe it is just my issues surfacing..
